Officials briefed the Minister that more than 10,000 candidates were expected to participate and over 150 companies would offer vacancies across IT, manufacturing, services, trading, pharma, and banking and financial services. IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu and other ministers, MLAs and public representatives are expected to participate in the mela being organised in collaboration with the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

Sector-specific counters and an employer help desk with printing and photocopy facilities will be set up at the Government Degree College grounds to streamline on-site processes.

Reviewing arrangements, Uttam Kumar Reddy directed DEET and line departments to ensure venue infrastructure, internet connectivity, clear candidate flow, and adequate volunteer support. He asked that serious employers be provided with functional workspaces and that logistics such as printers and xerox machines be arranged on rental basis where required.

Mobilisation will focus on the combined Nalgonda region. Placement officers and principals from around 150+ institutions – including degree colleges, engineering colleges, polytechnics and ITIs – are being engaged through established contact networks and WhatsApp groups to register final-year students and unemployed youth. A preparatory meeting of placement officers was proposed to maximise turnout and coordination.

Meanwhile, the DEET officials informed the minister that their platform had crossed one lakh registered job seekers and onboards employers statewide through a paperless, mobile-first system that can send instant vacancy alerts and support follow-up interviews. While the Huzurnagar mela will prioritise in-person recruitment, DEET will aid outreach and registrations.

Departments of Employment and Training, Technical Education, Collegiate Education and TASK are supporting the drive through employer engagement and campus outreach to meet the expected footfall. (Maxim News)
