Modi Govt Released Funds Liberally To Telangana, Subhash Slams TRS leaders’ Canard

Hyderabad, Feb.12 (Maxim News): Decrying false information being disseminated by TRS leaders on grants released by Centre, State BJP official spokesperson N V Subhash asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has sanctioned funds liberally for the development of the State.

In a statement here today, Subhash alleged that the TRS leaders were spreading lies on the funds released by the Modi government. He found fault with B Vinod Kumar, vice-chairman, Telangana State Planning Board, who commented on the announcement of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman stating that the centre has released only state share collected as revenue tax. Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced in Parliament that the Centre has released Rs 1.58 lakh crore to the State in the last six years.

Subhash said Union Finance Minister gave details of funds released to the State as per the recommendations by the 14th Finance Commission. Apart from these funds, the Modi government had released funds separately for various projects and schemes for the development of Telangana State, which include laying of national roads, Girijan university, Horticulture university, Central educational institutions which were not included in the statement of the Union Finance Minister, he said.

‘The BJP has been demanding the ruling TRS government to release a white paper on the funds received from the Centre for various projects and schemes. Now Vinod Kumar should explain why the State government was not releasing white paper on the Central funds’, he questioned. Subhash suggested to TRS leaders not to indulge in misleading people in the State, who are aware of development programs of Modi government which was relentlessly striving for the welfare of the people.
