Mohammed Moazam Khan wins from Bahadurpura

Hyderabad, Dec 11 (Maxim News): For Mohd Moazam Khan of AIMIM, victory from Bahadurpura turned out to be a cakewalk. And an emphatic margin of 82,518 clearly proved the failure of his rivals in making dents into his constituency.

Moazam Khan will be representing Bahadurpura for the third time in the assembly. Before being shifted to Bahadurpura by the party, he had represented Asifnagar constituency which became part of the Nampally Assembly constituency.

As against Moazam Khan’s 96,993 votes, his nearest rival, Mir Inayath Ali Baqri of TRS could get only 14,475 votes followed by Haneef Ali of BJP with 7395 votes. The Congress candidate, Shaik Mohd Kaleemuddin ended fourth with just 7174 votes.

During the campaign, the MIM candidate was quite sure that he would romp home with a good margin even as he extensively networked with the electorate through a series of ‘paidal daura’.

In the 2014 elections, Moazam Khan had won with a still higher margin of 95,045 after receiving the support of 1,06,874 voters.
