Moinabad Farmhouse Case: High Court Will Hear Petition of Govt if CJ Allows

Hyderabad, Feb 7 (Maxim News): The single bench of the High Court adjourned the hearing on the Lunch Motion Petition filed by the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao government seeking a stay on the Judgment delivered by the double bench headed by the Chief Justice Ujjal Bhuyan to handover the Moinabad Farmhouse case to the CBI.

The single bench judge reminded that the Chief Justice bench had refused to investigate this issue in the past. It was clarified that the hearing will be conducted only if the Chief Justice allows it. The hearing of the case was adjourned to tomorrow as the Advocate General said that the Chief Justice’s permission would be taken Wednesday:

Earlier, the bench asked the government several questions regarding the lunch motion petition filed by the government. When asked whether the CBI has registered an FIR in the farmhouse case, the Advocate General told the court that it has not yet. The judge pointed out that the CBI was pressing for the case diary. He said that a week’s time is required to go to the Supreme Court. On the other hand, the Deputy Solicitor General requested the Judge that the state government is not responding to the transfer of the Farm House case investigation to the CBI.

After hearing the arguments of both sides, the judge announced that he will up the petition to the Chief Justice, if agrees, a further hearing will be held on Wednesday. (Maxim News)
