Monkeypox Spread: Hyderabad Hospitals On A High Alert

Hyderabad, Aug 23 (Maxim News): The Medical, Health and Family Welfare department has been on high alert because of the “Outbreak of Monkeypox”  disease across the world. In Telangana, Gandhi Hospital and Nallakunta Fever Hospitals both at Hyderabad have been selected as the primary referral hospitals.

The Gandhi Hospital has provided 20 beds, while Nallakunta Fever Hospital earmarked 100 are reserved for both men and women, six beds have been set aside for the flu hospital. Although no cases have been reported in the area, health officials stress the importance of being vigilant.

As the monkeypox spread, the Doctors advised reporting monkey symptoms to authorities immediately. Countries such as Congo, Nigeria, and Cameroon have seen high numbers of cases, and individuals returning from these areas should take precautions such as isolation and hospitalization.

Once you experience symptoms, isolation and treatment are recommended. Monkeypox can be spread through blood, body fluids, skin lesions, and respiratory secretions.

The signs that are to be observed are sudden onset of fever, headache, muscle pain and back pain, burning in feet, hands, face, etc, often accompanied by pain, extreme cold, and fatigue. (Maxim News)
