Moot Court Competition Draws Nationwide Participation
The Moot Court Competition witnessed teams from states such as Kerala, Karnataka, and Chhattisgarh. Students argued fictional legal cases before a panel of judges. This format helped them build skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
The event marked a milestone as one of the few national level moot court competitions organised by a non institutional club. Therefore, it highlighted the growing role of youth led legal initiatives in promoting academic excellence and advocacy training.
The moot problem was drafted by Pavan Kasturi, an advocate at the High Court for the State of Telangana. It presented a challenging legal scenario that tested participants’ analytical and argument skills.
Winners, Awards, and Social Commitment
After detailed rounds and judicial scrutiny, Pendekanti Law College secured the top position. Meanwhile, the runner up title went to National Law School of India University, Bengaluru, which received ₹25,000.
In addition, individual awards such as Best Speaker, Second Best Speaker, and Best Memorial were presented. The total prize pool reached ₹90,000. The prize money was sponsored by Sunil Bhaskar Ganu, whose support encouraged young legal talent.
The final rounds were judged by legal experts, including Vemulapati Pattabhi and T Niranjan Reddy. Their insights helped enrich the learning experience for participants.
The event also had Bhuram Shankar as the Guest of Honour. Meanwhile, it was organised under the leadership of Sriya Ranga, with support from team members Shlok Tiwari, Harpindhar Kaur, Sulochana Rani, Enaz Unnisa, and Yusaf Uzair.
