Watch: Mumtaz Ahmed Khan takes oath as Telangana pro-tem speaker
Hyderabad, Jan 16 (Maxim News): AIMIM Charminar MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan here on Wednesday sworn in as Telangana pro-tem speaker.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan has administered the oath at a ceremony at Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan. The programme started with the Secretary of Telangana State Legislature reading out the Notification of appointment of Pro-tem Speaker.
After taking the oath, the Pro-tem speaker Sri Mumtaz Ahmed Khan signed the oath form in the presence of the Governor and other dignitaries.
Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, greeted the Pro-tem speaker with presentation of bouquets.
The Swearing in Ceremony was attended by Council Chairman K. Swamy Goud, Home Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali, Ex Speaker S.Madhusudana Chary, MPs, Asaduddin Owaisi, B.Vinod Kumar, Santosh Kumar, MLC’s Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, B.Venkateshwarlu, Syed Aminul Hasan jafri, MLA’s Syed Ahmed Pasha Quadri, Mohd. Moazam Khan, Kausar Moinuddin, Ahmed Bin Abdullah Balala, V.Srinivas Goud, Koppula Eshwar, Chief Secretary Dr.S.K. Joshi, Principal Secretary(GAD) Adhar Sinha, Principal Secretary (Finance) K.Ramakrishna Rao, DGP M. Mahender Reddy, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Anjani Kumar and other officials and non-officials attended the Programme.
The Second State Legislative Assembly was scheduled to meet on Thursday and pro-tem speaker will chair the first session of the Second State Assembly. Pro-tem speaker will chair the first session of the Second State Assembly. Pro-tem speaker will administer the oath of office to the newly elected members including the nominated member from Anglo-Indian community. (Maxim News)
