Munugodu by-poll: Congress candidate to file nomination papers on Oct. 11

Hyderabad, Oct.4 (NSS): Congress party candidate from Munugodu Assembly constituency Palvai Sravanthi would file her nomination papers on October 11. The decision to file the nomination papers was taken by the State leadership of the party during a three-hour marathon meeting held at the Gandhi Bhavan here.

The party also decided to go ahead in the election campaigning with ‘a war between faith and sale’ in the Assembly constituency. The State in-charge of the party Manickam Tagore, TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy and other important leaders of the party took part in the meeting and discussed about the party’s strategy. The party leaders have decided to widely promote the fielding of a woman leader from the constituency to gain traction with the women voters of the Munugodu Assembly constituency. Sravanthi will file two sets of nomination papers on October 11 and a third set of nomination papers along with massive number of the party workers and leaders.

Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Sravanthi said all the party leaders had promised to extend their support to her in the election campaigning in order to ensure her victory in the by-election. She said the star campaigner of the party Komatireddy Venkat reddy would also take part in the election campaigning. She exuded confidence that the development programs of the Congress would help her in winning the by-election. (NSS)
