City Commissioner CV Anand announced this to this extent. He said that the names of several police stations and divisions have been changed, keeping in mind the famous places in the city.
He said that Toli Chowki PS has been changed to 72nd Law and Order PS and Secretariat PS has been changed to Lake Police Station.
It was also stated that Humayunnagar PS has been changed to Mehdipatnam PS and Shah Inayat Gunj PS has been changed to Goshamahal Police Station. “After 35 years, the Hyderabad Commissionerate Police stations have been reorganised. There are 7q1 law and order and 31 traffic police stations in Hyderabad. For the last two years, there have been problems in the boundaries of police stations. The situation is confusing in traffic and law and order police stations.
The government has given permission for the change of names if a report is sent to the government. It will be included on the Hyderabad City Police website.
Meanwhile, a massive purge has also been carried out within the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate. CIs have been transferred on a large scale. The CP has issued orders transferring a total of 146 CIs within the Hyderabad Commissionerate. (Maxim News)
