National Lok Adalat Settles 5,58,883 Cases In A Single Day In Telangana

Hyderabad, Sept 10 (Maxim News) The National Lok Adalat held on Saturday (Sept. 9) in all the courts across the state of Telangana received a great response. A record 5,58,883 cases were solved in a single day.  

Out of this, there are 5,45,704 pending cases in court and 13,179 pre-litigation cases.  Vardhan Reddy, member Secretary of the State Legal Service Organization said that a total compensation of Rs. 180.10 crore has been provided.

Patron-in-chief of State Legal Service Organization, Chief Justice of High Court Justice Alok Aradhe, Executive Chairman Justice P.Shyam Kosi, Chairman of High Court Legal Services Committee t. Vinod Kumar said that the program was successful.  On this occasion, checks were also handed over to Justice Shyam Koshi in the Hyderabad City Civil Court.

404 cases in the High Court were resolved in the Lok Adalat conducted on the instructions of Justice Vinod Kumar, Chairman of the High Court Legal Services Committee.  a total of 204 motor vehicle cases and 71 were workers’ compensation disputes.  High Court Legal Services Committee Secretary M. Shantivardhani said that a compensation of Rs. 15 crore has been announced and 1,100 people have benefited.  Former High Court Judges Justice G.V Sitapathy and Justice Challa Kodandaram revealed that these cases have been resolved.
