Neeraj Chopra Clinches Olympic Gold in Javelin Throw

Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): Indian Athlete Neeraj Chopra created a rare history in Tokyo Olympics in Japan as he won a Gold Medal in Javelin throw event. He clinched the gold in javelin throw and created history. After waiting for 100 years India won a Gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics in Japan according to information.

As soon as the 23 year old ace athlete grabbed the Gold medal, which is seventh medal for India, in the 2020 Olympics in Japan, the entire India jumped into a celebration mode. At his Khandra village in Panipat in Haryana state, Chopra family members and people celebrated the moment by distributing sweets. Earlier Bhajrang Punia won bronze in wrestling which is the sixth medal for India.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated Neeraj Chopra and Bhajrang Punia for exemplary achievement at the Olympics. Modi said that Chopra played with remarkable passion. With this medal India feels proud and the Centre committed to support sports in future, Modi said.

Union Minister Kiren Rejiju said that Chopra made India proud by winning the gold medal in the Olympics. He said that Neeraj Chopra is a Golden Boy of India.

President Ramnath Kovind, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, Telangana Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, Chief Ministers of Telugu states K Chandrasekhar Rao, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, IT Minister KT Rama Rao, Sports Minister V Srinivas Goud, and TD Chief N Chandrababu Naidu have congratulated Neerja Chopra for clinching the gold in the Olympics. Also the leaders from the TRS, BJP, and the Congress greeted the athlete on the occasion. (Maxim News)
