Nine Drug Offenders Nabbed, 8 Kg Ganja Seized in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Feb 25 (Maxim News): The North Zone Task Force of Hyderabad City Police, in coordination with Ramgopalpet Police, apprehended seven ganja peddlers at the parking area of James Street Railway Station, Secunderabad. Additionally, two ganja consumers were taken into custody. The operation led to the seizure of 8 kg of ganja, valued at ₹2.4 lakh.

Arrested Accused:

  1. Tamata Sanjay alias Tuna (24) – Main peddler and rowdy sheeter from Marredpally Police Station.
  2. Tamata Pavan alias Dambar (26) – Transporter-cum-peddler, also a rowdy sheeter from Marredpally PS.
  3. Jwala Deepanshu Kumar alias Bad Boy (22) – Zomato delivery agent, working as a sub-peddler.
  4. Dappu Kiran Kumar (19) – Medical store worker, sub-peddler.
  5. Koguru Naveen Kumar alias Laddu/Chintu (22) – Car driver, sub-peddler.
  6. Muthu Krishna Rohith Kumar (26) – Snake catcher, and financier for the network.
  7. Marpu Joel Vanshika alias Smiley (22) – Electrician, assistant to Pavan.

Apprehended Consumers:

  1. Thota Harshavardhan (27) – Private employee.
  2. Dasari Dikshit Sai Kumar alias Kanna (23) – Rapido driver.

Absconding Accused:

  • Subba Rao – Main supplier from Araku, Andhra Pradesh.

Modus Operandi:

Tamata Sanjay, the mastermind, along with his cousin Tamata Pavan, orchestrated the smuggling of ganja from Araku to Hyderabad for easy profits. They enlisted a network of sub-peddlers and financiers to distribute the drugs. The peddlers regularly supplied ganja to consumers, including Harshavardhan and Dikshit Sai Kumar.

Tamata Pavan also has a non-bailable warrant (NBW) pending in connection with a house burglary case registered at Bowenpally PS, under the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble XI ACMM, Secunderabad.

Police Operation:

The successful operation was executed by Inspector K. Saidulu, along with SIs Srinivasulu Dasu, P. Gnanadeep, and C. Raghavendra Reddy from the North Zone Task Force. They were assisted by T. Narsing Rao, SHO of Ramgopalpet PS, and his team.

Authorities continue their efforts to track down the absconding supplier and dismantle the drug network.
