A gruesome incident has shocked residents of Nizamabad district, where a woman was found brutally murdered along the Basara main road. The crime occurred in the suburbs of Fakirabad and Mithapur in Navipet mandal on Saturday. The discovery of the body, with horrifying injuries, has left locals terrified and demanding stronger safety measures for women.
According to police, the partially decomposed body of an unidentified woman was found lying on the roadside. The woman’s head and fingers on her right hand had been severed. Officials estimate her age to be between 30 and 40 years. Since the body was naked, investigators suspect that she may have been raped before being murdered. Preliminary findings suggest the victim may have been killed elsewhere and her body dumped at the location.
Local residents who noticed the body alerted police authorities immediately. Navipet Sub-Inspector Tirupati reached the scene with his staff and conducted an initial inspection. Later, Nizamabad Police Commissioner Sai Chaitanya also arrived at the spot to oversee the investigation. The forensic and clues teams collected samples and other evidence from the scene to help identify the perpetrators.
Police have registered a case and begun a detailed investigation into the murder. Officials are verifying missing person reports to identify the victim. They are also analyzing evidence collected from the crime scene to trace the culprits. Meanwhile, police patrols have been intensified in the area.
The incident has caused widespread panic among locals, especially as it follows another similar murder of a woman reported within the past month in the district. Many residents have urged the police to take swift action and ensure the safety of women traveling or working in isolated areas.
