No force can stop me: Governor

Hyderabad, June 10 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan made some interesting comments on Friday, saying that no force can stop her and she will remain a strong force on the behalf of people.

She also reiterated that she would continue holding the Mahila Darbar in future and would be the first person to lead the rights of women.

The Governor launched the Mahila Darbar at Raj Bhavan to hear the grievances of women and enquired about the problems of participants. About 400 women had booked their participation in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Tamilisai Soundararajan said that while women from Telangana are facing atracities and are being met injustice, she would not remain a mute spectator and would be a voice of suppressed section.

Expressing the displeasure over not following her order that was given to Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and DGP Mahender Reddy to send a detailed report on the Jubilee Hills gang-rape incident within 48 hours, the Governor said it was very unfortunate that the State government is not following the protocol and the Constitution.

” In general, I am not a controversial person. I am sincerely working to serve the people of Telangana. I respect the elected government. At the same time, the government should respect the Constitution and follow all the norms which I am expecting,” Tamilisai Soundararajan said.

Responding to the remarks of holding the Praja Darbhar at Raj Bhavan, the Governor said it was nothing wrong conducting such programmes and said that the Raj Bhavan is not belonged to a political party office.

“The government offices are used for serving the people. I am discharging duties what I can do to the people with my capacity. I request the State government to respect the Raj Bhavan and redress all the grievances which come to my notice, ” the Governor added. (Maxim News)
