NPDCL Worker Electrocuted To Death In Asifabad

Asifabad, August 10: An outsourced NPDCL worker died after suffering an electric shock while repairing a power line in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district on Monday.

The incident occurred on a power line between Gontlapet and Motlaguda villages. Police identified the deceased as Chandu, 32, from Bombayiguda village.

According to police, Chandu climbed a pole to repair the power line when he suffered serious electric shock injuries.

Family Demands Compensation And Job

Chandu was rushed to a private hospital in Kagaznagar. However, doctors declared him dead after his arrival.

Meanwhile, Chandu’s family members staged a sit in at the hospital and demanded justice.

The family alleged that Chandu had taken precautions before climbing the pole. They claimed power was restored without informing him.

The family demanded compensation from NPDCL. They also sought a job on compassionate grounds for a family member.
