Hyderabad, April 3 (Maxim News): Osmania University ranks 23rd among the top Universities of India as per the “National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF-2017)” of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
In a release posted on NIRF’s website, top Universities through India have participated in this rakings which include Indian Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, University of Hyderabad, University of Delhi and University of Pune. In the overall ranking the University has scored 38th rank among the best centrally funded institutions and Universities, State Universities and Private Universities.
Osmania University registered a score of 45.52 and stands 3rd among the five reputed institutions of higher education in Telangana State. As per the parameters considered, Osmania University has strong presence with respect to graduation outcomes which include high placements, qualitative high studies and entrepreneurship. In this context, it has scored 91.98. In teaching, learning and resources the score is 46.63 and in outreach and inclusivity is 58.41.
Osmania University Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Ramachandram expressed his happiness and hoped that the University would sustain its position in higher education through taking necessary academic and other corrective measures. He congratulated the faculty, staff and students on this achievement and felt the result reflects University’s illustrious contributions to the higher education in the State for decades.
Dr. C. Srinivasulu, Nodal Officer, Statistical Cell, Osmania University said that the ranking procedure helps the University to introspect the strengths and weaknesses and provides an opportunity to enhance and maintain the quality parameters. (Maxim News)
