Hyderabad, Oct 22 (Maxim News): Osmania University (OU) Vice Chancellor Prof Kumar Mulugaram garlanded the statue of Komaram Bheem on the occasion of the 123rd birth anniversary celebration.

Speaking as the chief guest of the celebration conducted by the SC, ST, BC, Minority Cell hoisted the tribal flag.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Kumar Mulugaram garlanded the statues of Komaram Bheem, he called upon the Adivasi students to study extensively on the fighting spirit of Mahaneys in the universities. Komaram Bheem’s fighting spirit is exemplary for many. In commemoration of the great man’s struggles, he promised to install a statue of Komaram Bheem at the Phule-Ambedkar building during the upcoming Komaram Bheem Jayanti.

 Khanapur MLA Vedamma Bojju Patel, who attended the program as a special guest, paid tribute to the image of Komaram Bheem and then addressed the students and said that he is speaking before you today as an MLA because he organized many movements in the spirit of Komaram Bheem movement and worked as a selfless servant on behalf of the people of Khanapur.

Komaram Bheem said that the honorable man who united 12 villages and gave us tribal rights and laws with the slogan of Jal, Jangal, and Zamin, fought guerrilla warfare. He said that the rights that have come as a result of the sacrifices of many Adivasis are being sidelined by the laws and are not being enforced vigorously. 1/70, Pisa Grama Sabha, LTR recognized that it is our responsibility to properly implement the laws and protect the rights. He said that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is willing to work hard to examine the problems faced by the tribal people in the Telangana state.

He said that he is working to stand by the tribal people in today’s public administration. Adivasi students were called to take steps towards higher education.
