Our Party’s Goal is to Protect Indian Constitution: Tammineni

Hyderabad, Aug.15 (Maxim News): CPM State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram today said the main objective of their party was to protect the Indian Constitution. He said there was a need to launch another round of complete freedom struggle to achieve social equality in the country by drawing inspiration from the national movement held to achieve the freedom to the country.

He made it clear that the freedom that is being enjoyed by the people of the country was a partial freedom and not a complete freedom. Reminding that the British rulers looted the people directly, he said the present rulers were looting their people in an indirect manner by implementing the same polices of the British rulers.

Hoisting the national flag at the State CPI-M party headquarters here today on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day celebrations, Veerabhadram hailed the freedom struggle, which was held to get freedom from the foreign rulers.

He said the rulers of the British became a hindrance for the wealth, civilization, culture and development of the country. He said countries like India and China had handed over great civilizations to the world and to those countries, which are now calling themselves great civil societies.

He said the country went under the ruler of the British due to the lack unity among the people of the country. He explained the role played by the Communist parties in the freedom struggle of the country. Veerabhadram said no attempt was made to completely democratize the process of election of public representatives by exercising right to vote.

He alleged that the mistakes committed by the Congress party had led to the birth of Communal parties like BJP. He alleged that the BJP was trying to turn the country into a communal and feudal country by violating the constitution of the country.

He said the four values enshrined in the preamble of the country like secular, economic empowerment, social justice and the rights of the States were not being implemented under the BJP government. He said the protection of the Indian Constitution had become the biggest work for the democratic believers.

The Central committee member of the party G. Nagaiah said the economic system of the country had gone into the hands of corporate companies after the independence. He called upon people to hold democratic protest programs to achieve the complete freedom by drawing inspiration from the Communist movements.

CPM State secretariat member Julakanti Ranga Reddy mocked that organizations like BJP and RSS were holding Har Ghar Tiranga program although they did not have any role in the freedom struggle of the country and added that the two organizations were claiming that they were responsible for the freedom of the country.

He said the sacrifices and the dreams of the freedom fighters were not completely fulfilled and added that wrong policies of the successive rulers of the country were responsible for the same. He called upon the party activists to hold agitation programs against communal politics. (Maxim News)
