Bajalna/Internet/Hyderabad, June 19 (Maxim News): The police have registered a case against the principal and two teachers of a school in Maharashtra for allegedly playing a Pakistani song at a function held at the school. Several videos have recently gone viral on social media showing a Pakistani song being played at a function held at Partur Kids World School in Bajalna district last year.
Netizens have alleged that students danced to a Pakistani song at the annual function held at the school. They said that a photo of Pakistani activist Mumtaz Qadri was also displayed at that time.
Following widespread criticism on social media over the video, local BJP MLA Babanrao Lonikar demanded that the school’s recognition be cancelled and action be taken against the management. He alleged that the school management was acting in a way that threatened the sovereignty, unity and integrity of the country. The school management denied these allegations. School principal Siddiqui revealed that the song performed at the event was taken from the Turkish TV serial ‘Ertugrul Ghazi‘ and was not related to Pakistan.
The principal alleged that some people morphed footage of their performance and posted it on social media with the intention of bringing bad name to their school. The police registered a case and arrested the school principal and two teachers. They said that the investigation is ongoing. (Maxim News)
