‘Pathaan’ scores Rs 315 crore in the first week!

Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham starrer ‘Pathaan’ is enjoying a dream run at the box office, and looks like it is not going to slow down anytime soon! After witnessing a drop of around 15 percent on Tuesday, the film added another Rs 21 crore to its total. Despite the downward trend on weekdays, ‘Pathaan’ continues to score big.

After a blockbuster first weekend, ‘Pathaan’ has concluded its first week run at the box office with a total collection of Rs 315 crore net, reports Boxofficeindia. The film has already managed to beat the highest first-week total of ‘KGF 2’ Hindi.

At the end of its extended first week, ‘Pathaan’ is expected to rake in around 350 crore net. The film has done great business in UP and Delhi circuits. Gujarat/Saurashtra markets are also contributing positively to the film’s total. At the end of its theatrical run, ‘Pathaan’ is expected to compete with the collection of the dubbed Hindi version of ‘KGF 2’.

At the worldwide box office, ‘Pathaan’ has managed to rake in over Rs 500 crore net. Getting emotional about the film’s success, Deepika shared, “To be honest, I don’t think we set out to break records. We set out to make a good film. This is what SRK taught me in my first movie. He told me you should work with people who make you happy. It’s such a lovely atmosphere to work in and that’s what the audience is taking back. It’s pure, love and joy and it reflects and that’s what the audience is taking back.”
