Pattana Pragathi Program To Be Launched On Feb. 24: CS
Hyderabad, Feb.20 (Maxim News): Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar held review meeting with officials at BRKR Bhavan and took stock of arrangements made for Pattana Pragathi program. The Pattana Pragathi will be launched on 24 th of this month.
The Chief Secretary reviewed the preparedness for the Pattana Pragathi program. The Municipal Administration Department has developed software for entry of details regarding the Pattana Pragathi Program. The Chief Secretary reviewed the software and suggested to further simplify it. The Details regarding each ward, municipality, officials etc should be collected immediately. For each ward a nodal officer is to be appointed. A Team of officials should also be formed to participate in Pattana Pragathi program.
The 4 Committees with 15 members each ward should be constituted. Some districts are lagging and hence they were directed to ensure 100% formation of committees and uploading their data. The focus of the Pattana Pragathi will be on Sanitation, Haritha Haram, Plan for Community Toilets, Crematoriums, Nurseries, Integrated Veg and non Veg. markets, Play grounds and Parks.
A Special survey to identify illiterates has to be conducted. A form online with Palle Pragathi has been circulated and Web form enabled. This survey will also be conducted in GHMC and Cantonment areas. The Finance Department has released Rs 156 crore to the GHMC and Rs 140 crore to the municipalities under the 14th Finance Commission grants for the months of February and March. The Municipalities and Corporations are fully geared to take up the Pattana Pragathi program.
The Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary Municipal Administration and CDMA would visit some districts. Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar, CDMA Satyanarayana and TSSPDCL CMD Raghuma Reddy and other officials attended the meeting. (Maxim News)
