Petition In Supreme Court On Pahalgam Attack

Delhi/Hyderabad, April 23 (Maxim News): A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court in the wake of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari has filed a petition seeking an order to the Center to increase security in hilly areas.

The PIL states that orders should be given to ensure security for the Amarnath Yatra and protection for tourists in Kashmir. The PIL was filed in the Supreme Court to direct the Union Home Ministry and states to take security measures for the protection of tourists going to hilly areas and to deploy armed forces in areas where tourists gather in large numbers.

He said that proper medical facilities should be set up in tourist places, remote hill and valley areas, so that immediate medical assistance can be provided in case of any emergency. he said that the economy of many states in North India is mainly dependent on the tourism sector as a large number of tourists visit the hill and mountain areas during the summer season. He said that terrorist attacks affect the tourism sector and the economy. He said that it is very important to take security measures for the protection of tourists. He said that there was no security arrangement in the Pahalgam attack. Supreme Court lawyer Vishal Tiwari stated in the PIL that only through security measures can tourists be protected from terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, Terrorists went on a rampage in the Pahalgam area of Ananthbagh district of Jammu and Kashmir yesterday (Tuesday). They opened fire on tourists. The militants created a massacre by asking about the religion of the tourists. 27 tourists lost their lives in the terrorist firing.

More than 20 people were seriously injured. It is understood that many of them are in critical condition. The central government strongly condemned this terrorist attack. As soon as the matter came to light, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ended his foreign tour midway and returned home.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also went to the scene and met the victims. On the other hand, the center has prepared the ground to root out the terrorists. 20 countries have also strongly condemned this attack.

On the other hand, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced compensation for the families of those killed in the Pahalgam terror attack. A compensation of Rs. 10 lakh has been announced for the families of the deceased.

Also, Rs. 2 lakh will be given to those seriously injured and Rs. 1 lakh to those with minor injuries. CM Omar Abdullah said, arrangements have been made to send the victims back to their homes. CM Omar Abdullah revealed that better medical care will be provided to the injured. (Maxim News)
