SIT notice in phone tapping case prompts Erravalli meetings

KCR discussed the phone tapping case with leaders and legal experts in Erravalli on January 31, according to the available information. Meanwhile, K T Rama Rao and Harish Rao have been present in Erravalli since the previous day. They are coordinating the matter ahead of the SIT interrogation scheduled for the following day. The consultations focused on the notices issued by the SIT and the legal course ahead.

It is understood that KCR sought permission for the SIT to conduct questioning at his residence in Erravalli, located in Markook Mandal of Siddipet district. However, the SIT declined this request. Officials clarified that the questioning would take place only at the Hyderabad address and not elsewhere. This decision has added momentum to the phone tapping case, which continues to draw political attention.

Meanwhile, the presence of KTR and Harish Rao in Erravalli underlined the importance of internal coordination within the leadership. The consultations with lawyers also pointed to careful legal preparation ahead of the SIT interaction. However, no further details were shared about the discussions or the legal strategy.

The phone tapping case has remained in focus as the investigation proceeds. The SIT’s refusal to shift the venue and its insistence on Hyderabad questioning marked a clear procedural stand. As a result, attention now turns to February 1, when KCR is scheduled to face the investigators at his Nandinagar residence.
