Phone tapping case: KTR appears before SIT in Hyderabad
Phone tapping case | Hyderabad, Jan. 23: BRS Working President and former minister K T Rama Rao appeared before the Special Investigation Team on Friday in connection with the phone tapping case.
KTR reached the Jubilee Hills police station following notices issued by the SIT.
Former minister Harish Rao, along with senior party leaders and workers, accompanied KTR to the police station.
Security was tightened in and around the area as a precautionary measure.
Officials said KTR will be questioned shortly by Joint Commissioner of Police Vijay Kumar and ACP Venkatagiri. The SIT has prepared a set of specific questions as part of the ongoing probe.

Sources said the questioning will include cross examination based on statements earlier given by Harish Rao.
Investigators are expected to seek clarifications on issues related to alleged illegal phone tapping during the previous BRS government.
The SIT has been intensifying the investigation after receiving complaints alleging unauthorized surveillance.
Senior leaders of the BRS have described the inquiry as politically motivated, while the government has maintained that the probe is being conducted as per law.
The outcome of the questioning is expected to shape the next course of action in the phone tapping case.
