PM Modi Announced Ex-Gratia To Victims’ Families Of Simhachalam Incident
Delhi/Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed shock over the incident of eight people death when a wall collapsed on devotees of Simhachalam temple who had come to see the true form of the Lord.
PM Modi wished the injured a speedy recovery. On this occasion, he announced an ex-gratia from the Prime Minister’s national Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the affected families. It was announced that Rs. 2 lakh will be given to the families of the deceased and Rs. 50 thousand to the injured.
On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Simhachalam Varaha lakshmi Narasimha Swamy will be given darshan to the devotees in his real form. On this occasion, a large number of people gathered to have darshan of the Lord. At one o’clock in the morning, the Lord was awakened with Suprabhata Seva.
Later, the sandalwood on the body of the Lord was very delicately separated with silver bowls and special abhishekam was performed on the Lord who had come into his real form. The devotees stayed there the night they gathered to have darshan of the Lord in his real form. On Wednesday morning, around 2.30 am, a wall collapsed on the sleeping devotees.
