TSRTC Strike Siren: Buses Will Not Ply From May 7

Hyderabad, April 30 (Maxim News): The strike siren has sounded in Telangana, RTC JAC Chairman Eduru Venkanna announced that they will go on indefinite strike from May 7. The trade unions which held a roundtable meeting in Narayanganj on the RTC strike, released the strike wall poster.

Speaking on the occasion, RTC JAC Chairman Eduru Venkanna said, We are ready for the RTC strike with the spirit of May Day. The government should respond now and take steps to prevent problems, it should respond to our fair demands.

Before the strike, RTC workers are taking out a Labour March on may 5. There will be a march in RTC uniform from RTC kalyana mandapam to Bus Bhavan in support of the strike.

RTC workers are going to go on strike from May 7, Some RTC workers unions are joining the JAC and are not meeting with us again in support of the management. Everyone, regardless of the unios, should come together for the strike, The CM should quickly take up the merger of RTC. We want people to rule in the RTC. The RTC management should buy and run the electric buses that are the source of privatization.

The 2021 wage revision should be done and pending dues should be paid. RTC workers should be recognized as employees on an equal footing with government employees and the RTC merger process should be undertaken in the government, The vacancies of 16,000 retired people should be filled. the CM should immediately state his stance on the problems prevailing in RTC.

We are going on strike on May 7 over the problems of RTC workers. We have already given a letter to the labour Commissioner on the strike. If the government doesn’t intervene, the still will be held from the 7th. CM, tell us your stance on RTC, solve our problems, if you are sincere, all other trade unions should come together.

Do not run electric buses and private buses in RTC. At least the government should come forward to resolve the issues of the promises given to RTC employees, JAC wants to ensure that there is no industrial unrest in the organization. (Maxim News)
