PM Modi is keen for successful hosting World Cup U-17 in India
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very much keen that India successfullyhost the World Cup football championship under-17 during October 6 to 28, Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel said today.
He told reporters after inspecting Vibekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan ( Salt Lake stadium) , one of the venues of this meet in the city, Mr Goel said ” Our Prime Minister is taking personal interest on this World Cup and with cooperation from all the stake holders we shall be able to host in successfully”.
This would be the first time that India would be holding a world cup soccer event. Officials from FIFA have already selected six venues in the country for this mega event. These are New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Kochi, Goa, Kolkata and Guahati.
