Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today inaugurated the first Seed Mela at the Rice Research Station of Prof. Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University, Rajendranagar.
Earlier, he inaugurated sales of seed in various crop varieties produced and developed by the university. Popular Rice varieties like Telangana Sona (RNR 15408), Kunaram sannalu (KNM 118) JGL 18047, WGL 347 were made available for sales at the counter in Rice Research Station on the university campus.
PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao, Principal Scientist Rice Dr Surender Raju, Rajendranagar Corporator Srilatha were present at the seed mela inaugural function. A large number of farmers from all over the State participated in the Seed Mela.
