Polling staff should perform their duties efficiently

Hyderabad, November 28: Joint Commissioner Mangatayaru said that presiding and assistant presiding officers should perform their duties effectively. On Tuesday, a training program was organized for the presiding and assistant presiding officers who are conducting election duties at the GHMC headquarters.

On this occasion, Joint Commissioner Mangatayaru said that there will be one presiding officer and three assistant officers in each polling booth. The presiding officers said that PO diary, Form-17A, 17C should be checked and recorded. He said that the respective polling station should have voters list and ASD list at the POs. He said that a mock poll should be conducted in the presence of polling agents at 5:30 in the morning, 50 votes should be cast and cleared by the CRC. On this occasion, VV Pat slips should be preserved. On the day of polling, voters are advised to carry the Epic card along with the Election Commission of India

  1. Aadhaar Card
  2. Pass book with photograph issued by post office or bank
  3. Health Insurance Smart Card issued by Ministry of Labour
  4. Driving license
  5. PAN card
  6. Smart card issued by RGI
  7. IDIAN PASSPORT
  8. Pension sanction document with photograph
  9. Central and State Government/PSUs/Public Limited Companies Employment Identity Card with photograph
  10. Identity card issued by MLA, MP, MLC.
  11. Identity card of disabled persons should carry any identity cards with them and exercise the right to vote.

The presiding and assistant presiding officers should go to the respective DRC centers on 29th to collect the EVMs and go directly to the polling station. The presiding officers should perform their duties systematically based on the check list.
