Hyderabad, Oct. 10: A power outage interrupted Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy’s speech during a political meeting attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao.
The incident occurred at a preparatory meeting organised in support of the Khammam, Nalgonda and Warangal graduate MLC candidate. Ponguleti was speaking into a microphone when the power supply reportedly stopped.
The interruption drew attention because Bhatti Vikramarka had reportedly claimed that Telangana was receiving uninterrupted power supply.
Power Supply Claims Face Fresh Scrutiny
The incident has renewed attention on complaints about power cuts across Telangana. Farmers have reportedly raised concerns about the quality of electricity supply, while household consumers have also faced interruptions.
The report criticised the Congress government over the alleged power shortages and contrasted them with claims of uninterrupted electricity supply.
However, the cause and duration of the outage at the meeting were not immediately known. No official explanation for the interruption was provided in the report.
