President Murmu Visits Maha Kumbh Mela: Takes Holy Bath At Triveni Sangam

Prayagraj/Hyderabad, Feb 10 (Maxim News): President Draupadi Murmu visited the Maha Kumbh Mela, the largest spiritual festival being held in Prayag Raj, Uttar Pradesh.

Security arrangements were tightened at the Triveni Sangam in honor of her arrival.

The President, who arrived in Prayag Raj, was warmly welcomed by Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Later, while accompanied by security personnel, she also fed migratory birds while traveling on a floating boat. Later, she reached Triveni Ghat and took a holy dip. Later, she performed puja.

The Maha Kumbh mela being held in Prayagraj began on January 13 last month. Today is the 29th day. Since it is a Kumbh Mela that comes once in 144 years, devotees from all over the country and abroad are flocking in large numbers.

According to the statistics released by the UP government, it seems that about 44 crore people have taken holy dip in the Triveni Sangam so far. The flow of people for the Maha kumbh Mela, which will end on February 26, is increasing but not decreasing.

Despite the rush, thousands of devotees are showing enthusiasm to take the holy dip from 3 am. Today too, traffic jams have been stopped for hundreds of kilometers around Prayagraj. Due to the rush in the Kumbh Mela premises, even places that could be reached in minutes are taking hours. (Maxim News)
