Princess Esra Donates Gold Jewelry to Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy

Princess Esra | Hyderabad, Feb 27 (Maxim News): Princess begum Saluba Esra Birgen, who was the wife of the late titular Nizam Mukarram Jah has donated 67 grams of gold jewelry worth about Rs. 5 lakhs to Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy on the occasion of the annual Brahmotsavam.

On behalf of Princess Esra, who lives in London but shuttles between Hyderabad and her home country of Turkey as well, Yadadri Temple Development authority vice Chairman G.Kishan Rao handed over the gold jewelry to temple Executive Office N.Geetha at the Temple.

According to Kishan Rao, Princess Esra had evinced interest in visiting the temple when he discussed the renovation project with her a few years ago. After the temple was reopened early last year and with pictures and videos being shared widely in the media, she told him that she wanted to make a donation to the temple on her personal behalf.

Accordingly, she had purchased a gold chain from Hyderabad recently and the same was offered to the temple authorities by Kishan Rao on her behalf.

Although Princess Esra was expected to visit the temple during her recent visit to the city, she could not do so after the demise of Mukarram Jah last month. (Maxim News)
