Prithvi Raj Vows To Unearth Irregularities In SVBC

Hyderabad, Aug.4 (Maxim News): Newly appointed chairman of the TTD-run Sri Venkateshwara Bhakti Channel (SVBC) and Actor Pruthvi Raj here on Sunday declared that he would cause an inquiry into the alleged malpractices and corruption in running of the channel.

Speaking to mediapersons here, Prithvi Raj said his first task was to regularize the services of the contract employees of the channel. As far as the corrupt practices in the channel concerned, Prithvi Raj made it clear that he would go ahead with the inquiry even if popular director-producer K Raghavendra Rao was involved during his chairmanship of the SVBC.

The new chairman of the SVBC said he would not talk or involve in politics on the holy hills. He would not talk about political parties or flags but only talk about the agenda of the channel and would do justice to the employees, who are all like my family members. Stating that he never dreamt of becoming chairman of the channel, he profusely thanked Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for appointing him as the chairman of the channel.

Addressing mediapersons here today, Pruthvi Raj said the YSRCP was responsible for his political birth. He said he would work hard to serve several crores of devotees of Lord Venkateshwara at the Tirumala. He said he prayed Lord Venkateshwara to see their leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the CM’s seat. He also said he had worked hard for the development of the party since the last nine years. He made it clear that he would unearth corrupt deals that took place in the affairs of the channel. He said he would stay for 20 days in Tirupati to serve the channel with best of his ability and transparency. (Maxim News)
