Hyderabad, Sept. 30 (Maxim News): Medak MP Madhavaneni Raghunandan Rao invited Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla to attend a major plantation drive from Ramayampet to Siddipet on October 6.
The programme will be organised as part of the Seva Sampark Abhiyan. Raghunandan Rao met the Governor at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday and explained the details of the proposed plantation programme.
The Medak MP requested Shiv Pratap Shukla to attend the event as the chief guest. The plantation drive is planned along the route from Ramayampet to Siddipet.
BJP Leaders Join Raghunandan Rao at Lok Bhavan
BJP Siddipet district president Bairi Shankar Mudiraj and Medak district president Valdas Radha Mallesha Goud also accompanied Raghunandan Rao during the meeting.
The programme is aimed at promoting greenery and environmental awareness through large-scale plantation.
Raghunandan Rao has previously stressed the need to expand green cover and protect the environment in the Medak and Siddipet region.
A recent report also noted plans to plant 20,000 seedlings along the national highway between Bhumpalli-Akbarpet crossroads and Siddipet through the district administration.
The October 6 plantation drive is expected to bring together BJP leaders and local participants as part of the Seva Sampark Abhiyan. (Maxim News)
