Raghunandan Rao Slams Congress Over Urea Distribution In Telangana

Hyderabad, June 30 (Maxim News): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Raghunandan Rao on Tuesday strongly criticised Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar over his remarks against the Centre, alleging that the Congress government had failed to ensure proper distribution of urea to farmers despite receiving adequate allocations from the Union government.
Addressing a press conference in New Delhi, the Medak MP dismissed the Congress party’s allegations against the Central government and said Telangana had been receiving its allotted quota of urea regularly.
Raghunandan Rao alleged that while the Centre had supplied sufficient quantities of urea to Telangana, the Congress government had failed to distribute it efficiently at the grassroots level.
He claimed that farmers were facing difficulties because of the state’s poor management rather than any shortage in supply from the Union government.
Furthermore, he took a swipe at the Congress leadership, saying people knew what had happened to those who had earlier staged protests in Delhi over similar issues. He remarked that the public would soon witness the political future of the Congress in Telangana.
The BJP MP also targeted the Congress leadership in the state with personal remarks.
He praised the BJP’s Telangana president, describing him as a young leader who remains active among the people and constantly works at the grassroots level.
At the same time, he criticised the Congress state leadership, alleging that its president lacked the energy and public engagement required to lead the party effectively.
Moreover, Raghunandan Rao asserted that the BJP’s primary objective was to come to power in Telangana. He said the party would continue exposing what it described as the failures of the Congress government before the people.
The BJP leader reiterated that the Union government remained committed to supporting farmers through the timely supply of fertilisers and other agricultural inputs, while accusing the state government of failing to ensure efficient implementation of welfare measures. (Maxim News)
