Rahul Gandhi to campaign for Congress candidate Mujeebullah Shareef

Hyderabad, November 27: Congress candidate from Charminar constituency Mujeebullah Shareef today announced that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit the Old City on the last day of the campaign on Tuesday.

Rahul Gandhi will address a roadshow at Noor Khan Bazar and other areas in the Charminar constituency. This will be the first time that a leader of Rahul Gandhi’s stature has taken part in the election campaign for the party candidates in the Old City.

We have been running a serious campaign since Day 1 and we are delighted over the public response,” Mujeebullah Shareef said. “This election has been historic as the Congress party forced all candidates to speak on public issues and the problems being faced by the people.”

Mujeebullah Shareef said that there has been a tremendous response to the door-to-door campaign, with hundreds of people presenting their grievances. “I have assured them that their grievances will be resolved after the Congress party comes to power in the coming elections,” he said. “I conducted a study of the problems in the Charminar constituency much before applying for the party ticket. During the campaign, I met a variety of people who presented their problems seeking solutions. All those problems will be resolved after the Congress party wins the next election.”

Mujeebullah Shareef also informed that, unlike past campaigns, the Congress party has conducted a series of public meetings in the Charminar constituency. “Many senior leaders of the Congress party addressed those meetings and explained the six guarantees we are offering to the people along with other proposals in the party manifesto,” he said. “All those guarantees will be fulfilled without any delay.”

Mujeebullah Shareef expressed confidence in winning the Charminar seat and creating history by defeating the MIM, which has remained undefeated on this seat since 1962. (Maxim News)
