He said that the date of passing the resolution for 42 per cent reservation for BCs was February 4.  He sazid that the state government has decided to celebrate February 4 as Social Justice Day.  he said that Rahul Gandhi demanded that caste enumeration  be done in the census.  That is why he was angry that the BJP is conspiring to postpone the census. He said that the caste enumeration in Telangana concluded that the BC count was 56.36 per cent.  He said that caste enumeration  has not been done in any state in the country including Gujarat.  He said that Telangana has conducted caste enumeration for the first time as per Rahul Gandhi’s words.  He said that the demand is not only to increase reservations in local bodies, but it has been decided that this increase should also be in the employment and education sectors has not been done in any state in the country including Gujarat.  he said that the increase in reservations is a matter within the purview of the central government.  That is why we have made a resolution and sent it to the center.

“We said we will increase it in our state.  We did not ask you (Modi) to do it in your state.  What difficulty did Narendra Modi face if reservations were increased in our state?  If we are trying to give 42 percent for our children’s education, jobs and political opportunities, what difficulty did you face? BC groups met BJP leaders demanding an increase in reservations as per our resolution.  But there was no response.  No word.  That is why BC groups were forced to hold a BC Maha Dharna in Delhi.  As they said in the Kurukshetra War,  ‘Even if you have to go and get an elephant’, they are coming to Delhi and holding a dharna.  Don’t try to dominate us.  You have seen what happened to the Nizam rulers.  You have seen what happened to the Andhra rulers.  You will never be in Delhi.  You have to come to the streets.  Our BC communities are communities that will be remembered for the rest of their lives if you do a little help.  How will they forget if you do injustice to these communities?  I am not asking whether you will implement it throughout the country or not.  “I am only asking for an increase as per the resolution passed in our Telangana,’ said Revanth Reddy.
