Ramzan : Special prayers for Jumat ul Vida held at Makkah Masjid
Ramazan : With Eid-ul-Fitr around the corner, a special last Friday prayers was held at Mecca Masjid in the Old City on Friday.
The special prayers are carried to mark the last Friday of the Holy Ramadan month.
High security was observed at Charminar, Old City, Meccah Masjid and other masjids in city of Hyderabad.
The Old City was seen crowded to perform the Friday Namaz. Several rotues have also been diverted to in wake of special prayers .
The prayers are being held after a gap of two years due to Covid restrictions in the state.

Dressed in traditional attire, people of all ages can be seen getting inside the vast Makkah Masjid complex from all the three entrance doors – two facing the Charminar Unani Hospital and the other one from the Laad Bazaar bangle market side. Around 10,000 people can gather at the Mecca Masjid while another 15,000 more sit outside the mosque.

It is reported that the Masajids in city was fully crowded during the Namaz as the festival Ramadan is approaching to end.
The Minority Welfare Department made arrangements by furnishing the Makkah Masjid with carpets and erecting tents to shelter the public from heat. A few good Samaritans also erected tents on their own for ‘sawab’ (good deed) purposes.
As a practice, people attend the prayers at the biggest mosque on Jumat ul Vida and in Hyderabad, those from the city visit Makkah Masjid. Also, Muslims from far nearby districts come to attend the last Friday prayers at the Mecca Masjid.
Maulana Hafeez Rizwan Qureshi will be leading the prayers at the mosque at 1.15 p.m. In Secunderabad, people visit the Jamia Masjid in Secunderabad where again around 12,000 people attend.
It is to mention here that the Telangana government to host Iftar party for the Muslim community on Friday evening.
All arrangements are in place for the Iftar party. High security is in place to avoid any untoward incident. The Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao along with Ministers, MLAs and other party cadre will take part in the Iftar party and may likely address the people on the occasion. This Iftar party tradition is continued by the government since ages.
