Regional Examining Board (Training) of IAF Celebrates Its Platinum Jubilee

On completion of 75 years of glorious service to the nation, the Regional Examining Board (Training) [REB (T)] located at Air Force Station Begumpet, celebrated its Platinum Jubilee

Air Vice Marshal Rajeev Sharma, Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Education), presided over the seminar and attended by Air Commodore HJ Page (एयर कमोडोर एच जे पागे), Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Begumpet, distinguished guests, serving personnel and veterans who have contributed to the Board’s remarkable history. Group Captain T Naresh Kumar, Commanding Officer REB (T) in his opening address spoke about the glorious seven decades’ journey of the unit and briefed about its functioning. To mark this momentous and significant occasion a ‘Special Cover’ and a commemorative postage stamp of REB (T), issued by Army Postal Service was released by Air Vice Marshal Rajeev Sharma.

Regional Examining Board (Training) of IAF Celebrates Its Platinum Jubilee

The REB (T) was originally established on 15 Dec 1949 at Air Force Station Jalahalli (Bangalore) as the Central School Trade Testing Board (CSTTB). During the Indo-Pakistan War in 1971, many personnel from the Board were attached to Operational Units, contributing to the war effort until hostilities ceased.

Today, REB (T) stands as a premier institution within the Indian Air Force, responsible for conducting examinations for all ab initio and in-service trainees across all trades at Airmen Training Institutes thereby living up to its motto ‘Impartial Examination, Proficient Trainee’.
