Relief to Chandrababu In The Skill Development Case

Amaravati: The Supreme Court has granted temporary relief to TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu in the Skill Development Case. A bench comprising Justice Bela M. Trivedi and Justice Pankaj Mittal postponed the next hearing for three weeks, after reviewing the Special Leave Petition filed by the AP CID seeking the cancellation of the bail approved by the AP High Court for Chandrababu. This postponement comes as a significant relief for Chandrababu, who is currently heavily engaged in electoral matters.

Last year in September, Chandrababu was arrested in connection with the skill development case. Following his arrest, he was remanded by the ACB court in Vijayawada and was a remand prisoner in the Rajahmundry Central Jail. During this period, he applied for bail from the AP High Court.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the High Court initially granted temporary bail to Chandrababu, which was later converted to regular bail. Consequently, the AP CID filed a petition in the Supreme Court to revoke Chandrababu’s bail.
