Revamp in Hyderabad Police: 14 IPS Officers Transferred and Reassigned

Hyderabad, December 18, 2023 (Maxim News): The Telangana government, under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, has announced a major reshuffle in the Hyderabad police force, with 14 IPS officers being transferred and assigned new roles. This move aims to streamline operations and inject fresh perspectives into various departments.

P. Vishwaprasad, currently Additional Commissioner of SB, takes over as Additional CP of Traffic, replacing AV Ranganath who was waiting for posting. M. Vijaykumar, Intelligence SP, moves to West Zone DCP, while Joel Davies, West Zone DCP, shifts to SB.

Rohini Priyadarshini, Medak SP, takes charge as North Zone DCP, replacing Chandanadeepti who reports to the DGP office.

Hyderabad Police:

N. Swetha, Siddipet Police Commissioner, moves to DD DCP in the city commissionerate, while A. Subbarayu, awaiting posting, takes over as Traffic-1 DCP. Nithika Pant, DCP of the hyderabad city task force, is reassigned to the DGP office, and Gajarao Bhupal, City Crimes and City Joint Commissioner, also reports to the DGP.
N. Venkateshwarlu, awaiting posting, becomes Hyderabad Traffic-3 DCP, replacing D. Srinivas who reports to the DGP. Sribala Devi, DCP in Rachakonda’s Road Safety Department, takes over as DCP of Hyderabad Task Force, while Madapur DCP G. Sandeep Rao moves to Railway Admin SP. J. Raghavendra Rao, the current Railway Admin SP, reports to the DGP.

This reshuffle is expected to bring new energy and expertise to various police departments in Hyderabad. The changes in traffic division leadership could lead to improved traffic management, while the appointment of experienced officers like Rohini Priyadarshini and M. Vijaykumar to key positions in crime and intelligence could strengthen law enforcement efforts. (Maxim News)
