Ministers with poor performance are likely to be dropped, and new faces may be inducted.

With the inclusion of former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin in the cabinet, two more positions remain vacant.

The party leadership intends to fill these posts during the reshuffle rather than through a separate expansion to maintain social balance.

Revanth Reddy Eyes Cabinet | Performance-Based Cabinet Changes Expected

The future of several current ministers will depend on the outcome of the local body elections. Soon after assuming power, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy inducted 12 ministers.

Reports suggest that some of them failed to perform up to expectations in their respective departments. Allegations of corruption and misuse of power by a few ministers and their close associates have also surfaced.

The results of the upcoming local elections are seen as a crucial test for these ministers.

If the Congress fails to secure key local posts such as Zilla Parishad chairpersons, municipal chairmen, or mayors from the ministers’ own districts, their removal from the cabinet appears certain.

According to sources, two ministers from the BC community and two from the OC category are likely to be replaced.

However, replacements are expected to come from the same social groups to avoid backlash.

The high command has reportedly advised MLAs and MLCs lobbying for ministerial berths to remain patient until the reshuffle and avoid internal disputes.

The reshuffle may also implement a “one family, one minister” rule to accommodate new aspirants. Leaders removed from the cabinet may be offered positions within the All India Congress Committee (AICC).

Meanwhile, some senior leaders are lobbying to secure ministerial positions during the changes.

A number of Congress MLAs — including Sudarshan Reddy (Bodhan), Mal Reddy Rangareddy (Ibrahimpatnam), Rajagopal Reddy (Munugode), and Premsagar Rao (Mancherial) — are hopeful of cabinet roles this time.

Despite earlier expectations, they were not included due to social and regional balancing. Rajagopal Reddy has publicly voiced his dissatisfaction over the issue.

Sources indicate that some of these leaders could be inducted during the reshuffle.

Actress-turned-MLC Vijayashanti, elected under the Assembly quota, is also said to be aspiring for a cabinet berth.

Similarly, Devarakonda MLA Balu Naik from the ST community is lobbying for ministerial inclusion.
