Revanth Reddy Sets Bold Vision: Telangana to Become $1 Trillion Economy in 10 Years
Hyderabad, July 15 (Maxim News): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has unveiled a bold economic vision, announcing that the state is moving towards becoming a $1 trillion economy within the next decade. Speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of Ichor Biologics’ new facility in Genome Valley, Hyderabad, the Chief Minister highlighted the state’s growing prominence in the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
“Hyderabad is now the bulk drug capital of the world. Nearly 33% of India’s vaccines and 43% of bulk drugs are manufactured right here,” Revanth Reddy said, addressing a gathering of industry leaders and biotech innovators.
He lauded the contributions of local entrepreneurs and industrialists, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, when vaccines produced in Hyderabad’s Genome Valley were exported worldwide. “The credit for India’s vaccine diplomacy during the pandemic belongs to Hyderabad and the visionaries behind it,” he said.
Stable Policy, Global Aspirations
Revanth Reddy reaffirmed his government’s commitment to industrial growth by promoting stable, simplified, and forward-looking policies, regardless of political transitions. “Governments may change, but the vision for Telangana’s industrial progress remains constant,” he said.
The Chief Minister also noted that investments worth ₹3.28 lakh crore have been secured since the Congress government came to power. “This is just the beginning. We are working to bring global best practices and develop Telangana into a truly international investment destination,” he added.
Hyderabad: From Genome Valley to Data City
Revanth Reddy also emphasized that Hyderabad, already known as Genome Valley, is rapidly evolving into a “data city”, driven by innovation, AI, and high-end digital infrastructure. He called on biotech entrepreneurs to collaborate in shaping Telangana’s future.
“We are not just planning for economic growth—we are working towards transformational development,” the CM said. “With your partnership, we will reach our goal of making Telangana a one trillion dollar economy in the next 10 years.”
Call to Industry for Support
The Chief Minister concluded his address by appealing to industrialists in Genome Valley to align with the government’s mission and act as ambassadors of Telangana’s growth story. “Let us make Telangana a global powerhouse in life sciences, IT, and data economy,” he said.
