First meeting, however, was broader in scope. It was convened by the Advisor Md Ali Shabbir to discuss welfare activities across departments, including SC, ST, and Minorities Welfare.
Minority representatives at the latest review meeting expressed frustration that despite promises, unemployed youth continue to wait for meaningful initiatives through the Minority Finance Corporation. They stressed that concrete steps must be taken to provide employment opportunities to thousands of job seekers.
During the discussions, participants strongly demanded the immediate release of pending budget allocations. Leaders emphasized that without timely funding, several schemes, including welfare programs and salaries, remain stalled.
Observers argued that the absence of the Finance Minister at the meeting was a missed opportunity, as his presence could have led to faster decisions on crucial financial issues.
Discussions also carried a political undertone. Community leaders indicated that the government’s approach to minority issues could have a direct or indirect impact on the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-poll and future elections.
Activists pointed out that the absence of a Muslim minority minister in Revanth Reddy’s cabinet has become a matter of concern, as it is gradually eroding the community’s trust in the government.
Participants urged the Congress government to take urgent corrective measures.
They suggested issuing a job calendar specifically for the Minority Welfare Department to restore confidence and demonstrate accountability.
Observers noted that with elections approaching, building trust among minorities will be critical for the ruling party. (Maxim News)
