Hyderabad, Aug.26 (Maxim News): Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today instructed officials to procure farm produce from the farmers on time. The minister asked to ensure that first quality cotton gets Rs 5550 per quintal, second quality Rs 5255 and provide timely payment online.
At a program here he said that the officials have to take immediate steps to provide all facilities at the markets and elsewhere and offer MSP to farm produce.
Ensure that godowns are ready to stock up the farm produce as 302 mills are identified, set up purchase centers he said. There shall not be any complaints from the farmers with regard to false or wrong weighing and duping them the minister warned. Who neglect duties will be dealt with seriously as the markets and mills should have all facilities he warned.
Provide payments online and ensure that the farm produce get MSP, he added. (Maxim News)
