Give Rs 2110 To Water Scheme: Dayakar

Hyderabad, Aug.26 (Maxim News): Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao today said in Delhi that Telangana Government is implementing flagship programs for welfare of people.

Talking to media persons after participating at a program on use of water resources, he said that he urged the Centre to provide Rs 2110 cr financial assistance towards maintenance of Mission Bhagiratha. The centre has come up with a similar program in the name of Jal Jeevan Mission to be completed by 2024 to provide safe waters to all across the nation. In advance the KCR Government has been implementing Mission Bhagiratha to provide purified waters to rural people, he said.

Dayakar further said that the government has already appealed to union water resources minister Gajendra Shekhavat for the funds for the program in Telangana.

We also sought 50 per cent of funds for the flagship program and funds for development under various heads, the minister said. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is giving priority to water scheme as well as lakes and irrigation projects, pension and welfare of the farmers and poor, he added. The centre has to provide funds to all states in this regard and release the same to Telangana ,he added.(Maxim News)
