Sandhya 70mm Theatre Stampede Case Chargesheet Filed in Court

Hyderabad, Dec 27 (Maxim News) : The Hyderabad Police on Saturday announced the completion of the investigation in the Sandhya 70mm Theatre stampede case, with a chargesheet filed before the competent court on December 24, 2025.

Hyderabad Commissioner of Police V C Sajjanar stated that investigators conducted a detailed and comprehensive probe into the incident.

Sajjanar confirmed that police chargesheeted a total of 23 accused in the Sandhya 70mm Theatre stampede case. Of them, police arrested 14 accused, while nine accused obtained anticipatory bail and received notices as per procedure.

According to police findings, the investigation established serious lapses at multiple levels. Authorities found failures in planning, crowd control, security arrangements, and coordination.

These lapses involved theatre management, event organisers, private security staff, and others associated with the event held at the theatre.

Police officials stated that these combined failures contributed directly to the stampede.

They added that the investigation relied on witness statements, video footage, technical evidence, and现场 assessments.

As a result, police concluded that negligence and lack of coordination played a central role.

Investigation details in Sandhya 70mm Theatre stampede case

The chargesheet names the owners and partners of Sandhya 70mm Theatre as primary accused.

These include Agamati Ram Reddy also known as Pedda Ram Reddy, Agamati Ram Reddy also known as Chinna Ram Reddy, M Sandeep, M Sumeeth also known as Mittu, Agamati Vinay Kumar, Agamati Ashutosh Reddy, M Renuka Devi, and Agamati Aruna Reddy. Police also named theatre manager M Nagaraju and lower balcony in charge Gandhakam Vijay Chander.

The charge sheet further lists cine actor Allu Arjun as an accused. Police also named his manager Josya Bhatla Santosh Kumar and another manager Sharath Chandra Naidu.

Additionally, police included the fans association in charge Tatipamula Vinay Kumar also known as Arjun Kumar.

Investigators also chargesheeted event organiser Talla Kiran Kumar Goud, along with his assistant Mohd Parvez. Police named personal security guards Cheruku Ramesh and Sriramula Raju.

They also included bouncers Ibrahim Mohammed Firdosh, Azam Pasha, D Mahesh, Raj Antony Demello, and Peggapuram Satyamurthy.

Police stated that each accused faced charges based on their specific role during the event.

Officials said the chargesheet clearly outlines individual responsibilities and failures. Therefore, the prosecution will rely on this material during trial.

The Commissioner said further legal proceedings in the Sandhya 70mm Theatre stampede case will continue as per law.

Sajjanar added that police remain committed to accountability and public safety. Meanwhile, the court will now examine the chargesheet and decide the next course of action. (Maxim News)
