Sarpanch Candidate Attacked By Unidentified Persons In Karimnagar

Karimnagar/Hyderabad, Dec 13 (Maxim News): Sarpanch candidate Dandu Komuraiah was attacked by unidentified persons after chilli powder was hurled into his eyes on the outskirts of Molangur village in Shankarapatnam mandal on Friday night.

According to villagers, Komuraiah is contesting for the Molangur sarpanch post. While he was returning home after visiting a hospital to console a road accident victim, unidentified persons intercepted him on the outskirts of the village and assaulted him. Before launching the attack, the miscreants allegedly threw chilli powder into his eyes to prevent him from identifying them.

Based on a complaint lodged by the victim, police registered a case and have begun an investigation. (Maxim News)
