According to officials, the ACB acted swiftly after receiving the complaint. They conducted raids at the Kukatpally GHMC Zonal Office on Wednesday, February 4. During the operation, officers caught SE Chinna Reddy while accepting the bribe amount. The seizure confirmed the allegations made by the complainant. Meanwhile, officials began examining documents linked to the tender process to understand the full scope of the case.
The SE Chinna Reddy bribe case did not remain limited to one arrest. ACB officials said a senior assistant from the revenue department was also caught taking a bribe in a mutation case in the same office. Meanwhile, ACB officials also carried out searches in the Bandlaguda zone. During these checks, they caught a Deputy Education Junior Assistant while taking a bribe of Rs. 10 thousand. Officials confirmed this development and said the action was part of a broader effort to curb corruption across departments. Later, officers stressed that such surprise checks would continue.
ACB officials used the occasion to issue a public advisory. They urged citizens to approach the bureau if any government official demands a bribe. They said filing a complaint helps authorities act quickly. Officials also warned that anyone found demanding or accepting a bribe would face strict action. Therefore, they appealed for public cooperation to ensure clean administration.
