According to reports. visibility dropped to below 50 meters in some of these areas. Districts such as Adilabad, Medchal, Sangareddy, and Vikarabad have also reported extensive foggy weather, delaying local transport and making highway commuting hazardous.

The IMD-Hyderabad has indicated that moisture accumulation at lower atmospheric levels (0.9 km to 1 km above ground) is the primary driver for foggy weather conditions. Similar weather conditions of extensive fogging are expected to continue till January 4.

Meanwhile, the minimum temperatures have started to gradually rise from single digits, which was the case throughout December, 2025, to double-digits across Telangana.

Authorities have urged motorists on the ORR and National Highways to use fog lights, maintain low speeds, and avoid high-beam headlights, which can further distort vision in dense mist.
